Enter Great White Shark territory and observe from the safety of a cage during this thrilling shark diving experience in Kleinbaai, run by professional marine biologists on a specially modified 46ft catamaran.
Depending on your departure time, the experience begins with breakfast or lunch at the Great White House restaurant, before climbing aboard the Slashfin to begin the 20 minute journey out to sea. The marine biologists on-board are true experts in their field, and will happily educate you on identifying individual sharks using their scars and dorsal fins, as well as the other marine animals spotted along the way. Once you've dropped anchor near Dyer Island, the first dive group will don their wetsuits and enter the cage under the guides' instructions. Here, prepare for the adrenaline rush of your life! Sightings include great whites, copper sharks (bronze whalers) and even the occasional stingray. When everyone has had a turn in the cage you'll head back to shore (sometimes via Shark Alley if you're lucky!), and celebrate your adventure over hot soup and bread.

The boat can take up to 40 people. (Please note that due to COVID-19 protocols, they can presently only accommodate 25 passengers plus crew.)
Non-paying spectators are unfortunately not allowed on board, but there is alovely restaurant overlooking the harbour where guests can wait.Those who prefer to view only are welcome to join the tour. The rate for diving or viewing only is the same.
You can also visit the African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary to learn more about the endangered African Penguin. Entrance is free of charge.
Please bring a bathing suit and warm clothing (it can get chilly on board).
Wet suits, booties, masks, towels, life jackets and waterproofs are provided.
This is a weather dependent activity, and may be rescheduled if the conditions are not suitable.
